The manufacturer's specification sheet lists the operating-temperature range as −20°C to +60°C and identifies self-heating and cold-weather capability as key features.
Cold-Weather Performance
The Blizzard Batt is designed with cold-weather operation in mind. Its self-heating capability is intended to support battery operation in colder environments, making it particularly suited to recreational vehicles, campers, and off-grid systems that may be exposed to low temperatures.
The battery specification sheet identifies both cold-weather capability and self-heating as features of the battery.
Bluetooth & System Communication
Built-in Bluetooth connectivity provides wireless access to battery information through the battery's BMS. The battery also supports CAN Bus and Victron Energy communication, making it suitable for compatible energy-management and monitoring systems.
Installation & Configuration
Up to three Blizzard Batt batteries may be connected in parallel where additional capacity is required. The manufacturer's specification sheet states that series connection is not permitted.
For storage, the manufacturer recommends turning off solar and other charging sources, disconnecting the battery, and removing the negative cable to ensure the battery does not charge. The battery can then be turned off using its power switch.
Why Choose Blizzard Batt?
With LiFePO₄ chemistry, integrated self-heating, Bluetooth monitoring, Victron communication, and a stated 4,000-cycle life, the Blizzard Batt is designed to provide dependable energy storage for mobile and small off-grid applications. Its cold-weather capabilities make it particularly appropriate for Canadian recreational and remote-power applications where temperature can be a significant operating factor.
